University of Calgary

A Message from Dean Pollock-Ellwand

At this time of year, when our students look forward to a summer of work, travel and adventure, we consider this bright future in the face of the dark and disturbing events that occurred April 15.

This is indeed a time of great sorrow and shock for members of our University community.  Take solace in the fact that you are not alone and the University has set in place support for those who need counselling, deferrals, or other considerations.  This is a time to reach out if you need that assistance.  A list of University resources can be found at the end of this note.

Our faculty's tribute to the five students lost yesterday is located in the Kasian Gallery outside the EVDS office. If so moved, please add your thoughts to our page of condolences located on the wall at one end of the tribute.

Take good care,
Nancy
