The MArch program structure and curriculum prepares students for rewarding, fulfilling careers as designers and fulfills the educational requirements for licensure as an architect. 

The Master of Planning is a first professional degree at the masters level. It is a course-based degree, which means no research thesis is required. The curriculum incorporates the breadth of Canadian Institute of Planners accreditation requirements and is fully accredited. 

The Master of Landscape Architecture is a first professional degree at the master’s level. It is a course-based degree which means no research thesis is required. The Program curriculum incorporates the breadth of Canadian Society of Landscape Architects accreditation requirements and the program was accredited in 2018, three years after it admitted its first students. 

This research-based master’s degree is tailored to recent graduates of professional architecture, planning, or landscape architecture programs — those who want to develop an area of specialization early in their career.

The PhD in Environmental Design challenges master’s degree holders to become scholars and through quantitative and qualitative research at an advanced level. Students develop and demonstrate knowledge and skills, synthesize related research findings to create new knowledge in the field, and communicate these findings to those inside and outside the field who will use and apply them.

The Doctor of Design is a post-professional program for mid-career design practitioners. It is Canada's first online, design-based doctoral degree. The DDes is a unique three-year program for architects, landscape architects and planners who want to leverage their expertise in a specific topic area into an innovation with real-world impact.
