Observation gathering, recording and interpreting site information. Diagrammatic and pictorial graphic
expression. Geological, biophysical, climatic, cultural, social and economic site factors. Sense of place. Site
analysis, landscape potentials and constraints, development factors and criteria are discussed and applied to a
human settlement project. Small and large scale projects are compared.
This course may not be repeated for credit.

- Credit for both Architectural Studies 461 and any of Architectural Studies 459, Environmental Design
597.01, 597.02 and 645 will not be allowed.
