Calgary Carshare is a member-owned co-operative, and one way our members contribute is to sit on our board of directors. Board meetings are held monthly (usually the third Thursday evening) and our board members are also encouraged to get involved in committees. We're a working board with a small staff, but we're passionate, focused and dedicated to alternative transportation in Calgary.

Matthew Hilton is one of Britain’s most highly respected industrial designers with over 30 years’ experience designing modern classics. After graduating from Kingston Polytechnic with a degree in Furniture Design in 1979 , he went on to design products for Paul Smith and Joseph Pour La Maison before joining product design company Capa, London. In 1985 Matthew set up Matthew Hilton Design Studio and started working for the British retailer and manufacturer SCP.

The Calgary Heritage Authority Lion Awards recognizes citizens and groups who have undertaken initiatives, of any scale, in support of heritage conservation in Calgary. These biennial awards are juried by the Calgary Heritage Authority. The 2012 Lion Awards will be held on August 1, 2012 at the new Calgary Board of Education Headquarters.
