Ken Wood is the Executive Creative Director at LUNAR, a product design and development consultancy based in San Francisco, California, where he is primarily involved in leading large-scale programs and managing the industrial design group to help ensure design quality.

Wood has been directly responsible for managing the 20 year working relationship that LUNAR has with Hewlett-Packard’s Home Products Division; maker of the market-leading Pavilion line of personal computers. Since 1998, HP has sold over 60 million consumer PCs that the HP/LUNAR team has designed - more than any other computer maker.

His work has received over 25 design awards and over 50 patents. Most notably, early in his career he designed many of the pivotal Apple computers that influenced the home computer industry, including the first Apple notebook computer, the PowerBook 100, which earned him BusinessWeek's Design of the Decade Award.

Wood's presentation will explore the role of charisma in the development of successful products.
