Calgary Transit Planner Presents an Intensive Introduction to Transit Planning

Calgary Transit Planner, David Cooper, is a Registered Professional Planner and a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners. He has taught on transit planning and transit-oriented development at the University of Calgary. Cooper's will present to EVDS on an Intensive Introduction to Transit Planning.

His presentation will explore the role of transit in the community as well as what makes up a transit system, the principles of transit friendly design and how transit service is planned for both the bus and LRT. Cooper's presentation will be interactive and include two activities; how to plan a transit route and how to provide service to our community stakeholders.
