There are several awards and scholarships open to EVDS students. The majority are coordinated by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and are open to all University of Calgary graduate students. The Faculty of Environmental Design facilitates the following awards and scholarships:
GSS funding offered to help support student research. Applications are open to students enrolled full time in a thesis / research-based Masater's or Doctoral degree program. An approved Program of Study (POS) is no longer required for consideration. Students enrolled in a course-based Master's degree program are ineligible.

The QE II were established to reward the high level of achievement of students pursuing graduate studies in Alberta. Both incoming and continuing students are eligible; no application is required. Recipients are determined either through the admissions process or by the EVDS Awards Committee. The number of allocations changes each year.

The Graduate Student Association (GSA) offers funding to students who find themselves in financial need or require financial support for non-degree-related expenses, such as attending conferences. GSA bursaries, awards and grants are meant to ease the financial strain faced by active GSA members.
